Scrubbing your skin with a physical exfoliant may or may not be right for your skin, depending on your skin type! Using a physical exfoliant on active, blemish prone skin can spread pore-clogging bacteria – in this case you would want to use a gentle chemical exfoliant 3-4 times a week instead. However, if you have dry skin that needs exfoliation to remove build up but doesn’t need it very often, physical scrubs are a great option as it is easier to control the intensity with which you are exfoliating.
